A tiny sneak for a very loved little man…tune in for more soon!

I think some of my favorite sessions are those of returning clients…..especially when those clients happen to little ones..hehe! This adorable little man first came by to see me when he was just 4 or five days old, ( click here for photos)  and he was even easier this time around. Actually, he was my easiest and happiest little man to-date. I don’t think he stopped flashing his cute little grin the entire time. Mum and Dad, thank you so much for contacting me again….I can’t wait to see you next time around and hope you enjoy Evan’s photos:)

This little beauty found me through my Dad…he had sold her Mum and Dad their new home and he got them a new baby session as a gift – I hope they love the results! Miss Veda was just over 3 weeks in these, and wasn’t yet 7 pounds. Just a teensy little thing, and with the most beautiful features. Thank you to Mum and Dad, Grandma and Grandpa for coming along; it was wonderful to meet you….Veda is a lucky lady:)  And once again – thank you Brooke for lending a hand behind the camera ( a few of these images are hers)  as well as wrangling my kiddos while I finished up…appreciated as always.

First, a sneak of my Dad’s family….well, just my siblings in this one. They’re pretty good in front of the camera, don’tcha think?! ….And of course much easier for me when the girls are being held down and can’t take off! Make sure to tune in for their full post:)

And yes, I realize Eve’s hair is ultra dorky, but what else can I do when her bangs are halfway down her face and she will NOT keep anything in ?! Good thing she can pull it off……and no, she still doesn’t have any teeth; hurry up baby!!!

My newest fave of our biggest girl……I adore her little face in this one. Thanks Miss!This was a somewhat impromptu session – I literally dragged the girls with me and shot these in the few minutes before my Dad and his family arrived for their session….it was Eve’s bedtime, it wasn’t warm and they definitely weren’t into it. Regardless of all that, I’m happy with what we got and can’t wait for the next outdoor, sunshiny session:)

** Sidenote for photogs – these were all shot with my brand spankin new 35mm 1.4 . I am LOVING this lens…perfect for a “shorty” like me:) **

This session was pleasantly surprising……with a last minute call from Brooke, I dropped off my girlies ( with her husband…hehe)! and headed a bit out of town to meet up with Ash + Ryan, Brooke’s “soon-to-be” bride and groom. As we drove to the location, the clear sky not only clouded over, but blackened. I mean, lights out. It was dark, drizzly and very windy. Not the situation you’re hoping for with an out of town couple that neither Brooke or I had met before. But luck was on our side again, and although the drizzle stuck around, Ashley and Ryan’s positive vibes, adorable pups and trust in our abilities made the shoot a success. And yes, I know…are they not ridiculously good looking?!  That paired with a beautiful location meant a shoot we are both giddy about. I can’t wait to second shoot this wedding!  Tune in to Brooke’s blog for many more images….

I know……crazy beautiful, right?! And Ryan, your eyes…WHOA! I’m thinking it’s a safe bet to say your kids are going to be pretty darned cute:)

Sweet, genuine and totally into each other. That is what I got from Kyle and Krystal. They were so comfortable in front of the camera it made my job that much more enjoyable!  The day was hot, sunny and beautiful….a perfect day for a wedding, especially at Penticton Lakeside Resort where the ceremony and reception were held. Thank you to the wonderful bridal party and both of your families…..we had a wonderful time and hope you enjoy your photos:)

Here’s a bit of what I’ve been up to the past week……although it is of course starting to feel hectic and busy and crazy – I am loving being in the midst of it all!  This next week is going to be another one with me behind the camera….Nevaeh’s ballet recital, an outdoor photoshoot of my girlies, a teensy baby girl, an uber stylish family of 4, and second shooting a wedding with Brooke. Whew!. I guess this means it’s time to start hitting the caffeine again. Hehehe!

A wonderful engagement session I got to shoot with BrookeFamily session of four of the nicest kids around….a surprise for Father’s Day!My first wedding of the year….it was hot and very sunny – these two rocked it!Last but not least – a very chill baby boy. Easiest baby to date….thanks Evan!

These were so great to do while down on the Island, as the subjects are not only beauuutiful, but Mama Jack and I have been friends for about 28 years – WOW, does that make me feel old. One of my fondest memories is of us jumping into our swimsuits and hopping into her tub full of bright blue Calgon bubbles and then blasting the Beach Boys “Kokomo”. Another that you may have forgotten about Jack, is when we first got training bras and decided we wanted bigger tata’s- we improvised and took some of plastic eggs your Mum’s nylons came in, popped them in half and stuck em down our shirts. Oh yeah, we rocked it:) Anyways, on with the pics….your family is gorgeous Jack and I’m just so proud of how much you’ve accomplished.

Big Sis Pina…..this little lady had moves!

This one is extra special for Mum as this is the tiara Jack wore for her wedding 10 years ago….we also have a photo with Pina wearing it at just a few weeks old. Loving this…Do you ever wonder just what it is the wee ones are thinking at times?! hehe….Miss Isabella, or “Babybel” as she is more often called….such a dolly:)

Love these ones of Mama and her girls…** A last one added from our play date with the girls the following day – true Island weather, it drizzled the whole time, but we bundled up and got this smooshy, lovey image that I just adore. Thanks for the visit!

My cousin’s 2nd baby, and first boy…..this is a rare thing in our family – you see…we ladies dominate! So, it definitely came as a surprise when a baby boy arrived in a very short amount of time just a few weeks ago. Linden was sweet enough to let me photograph him when he was 11 days old and I was back on the Island for a visit.  Other than wanting to stay in his clothes, he was easy to calm and after just a few minutes of “shushing” him and holding a firm hand on his back he would close his eyes and drift off. Thank you Jenn for having me take his first photos – looking forward to many more:)

This past weekend I had the chance to not only meet up with friends and family, but also their new family members. I booked a room at the beautifully renovated Coast Bastion Hotel in Nanaimo, and in between sessions I enjoyed the ridiculous harbour view and the yummiest food. Mmmmm. The teeniest little man belongs to my cousin Jenn, and he was 10 days old and not yet 7lbs. Definitely made me have the “fever”. Hehe. Second was a friend and ex co-worker from back in the banking days at TD…I photographed her fam, including her “little” man….he is 19 lbs and just 4 months old. I think it’s safe to say he may take after his Dad:) Last but not least was my dear friend Jack and her gorgeous little ladies…..Jack and I have been friends since we were 4 years old, and these two little girls have two of the greatest parents I’ve ever met. Big Sis Pina is two years old, and Isabella….aka “BabyBelle” is 3 months. We had such a fun time, and even met up in the rain to shoot a few family pics the next afternoon.

I had a wonderful day….loved the hotel, loved the babies and catching up with old friends. Oh, and the light?! Dee-vine! Brooke and I are planning to shoot as much as we can in this same spot in the upcoming months and I CANNOT wait!

PS – Nevaeh and I spent the day at Coombs Market this afternoon and I think I’m still drooling!!!  Enjoy the pics…full posts coming soon!
